The Information Systems and Informatics is an interdisciplinary program offered in collaboration between the Departments of Marketing and Computer Science. The ISI program provides students with core business and technical competencies to traverse the boundary between management and information technology.

Students learn to understand the strategic and transformative role that state-of-the-art and emerging Information Technologies play in the rapidly changing business environment. They learn the principles and techniques of development and implementation of innovations, and the management and governance of IT and its stakeholders. They learn to apply computational techniques, statistical modeling, and advanced business and data analytics skills to create innovative solutions and support evidence-based decision-making for data-intensive businesses.

The program prepares students for careers as business and systems analysts, designers and developers; data scientists; prepare students for cyber security; data administrators; information systems consultants; entrepreneurs; information policy officers, and IT managers or support staff, in all types of industry, civic, and government organizations. The ISI students have opportunities to get engaged in a variety of faculty research projects, capstone projects, internships, and other volunteer jobs.

Admission, Continuation, and Graduation Requirements

For admission, continuation, and graduation from the Bachelor of Science degree program in Information Systems & Informatics must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
