The minor in Design & Digital Media provides students with opportunities to study graphic design, digital imaging, web design, and related skill sets. The curriculum emphasizes visual literacy and design history, theory, and technique.
The Design & Digital Media minor may be of special interest to majors in Cinema Studies, English, Art, Drama, World Languages & Literature, Business, and any other major who may be interested in a creative career in the media/arts/entertainment industries. Upon completion of the program:
Students will be able to demonstrate aesthetic and technical skills in design and digital media.
Students will be able to draw upon and apply the histories and theories of digital media practices.
Students will be able to prepare their own individual portfolios of their creative work.
