The minor in Corporate Communications introduces students to fields of advertising and public relations, and the skills required to thrive in these professions in nonprofit and corporate settings. 

The Corporate Communications minor may be of special interest to majors in Cinema Studies, English, Art, Drama, World Languages & Literature, Business, and any other major who may be interested in a career in the media/arts/entertainment industries. For more information, please see.

Upon completion of this program: 

  • Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of organizational structures, functions, and the power of contemporary media organizations. 

  • Students will be able to draw on and apply histories and theories of public relations, promotion, and advertising. 

  • Students will be able to demonstrate skill in writing or digital applications utilized in advertising, promotion, and public relations.
