Description

Semiconductor devices for high power and high voltage applications. Power conversion systems: analysis and design of controlled and uncontrolled rectifiers, choppers, inverters, and filters. AC/DC or DC/AC conversion through three phase power thyristor bridge; IGBT Chopper/Invertor. Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices: static var compensator (SVC) and static synchronous compensator (STATCOM).
