Description
An exploration of one of the major conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries, analyzed through a historical geographic and contemporary geopolitical approach. Drawing from a wide variety of sources and adopting an interdisciplinary approach, this course examines the battles over territory and power from the perspective of competing nationalisms. In addition to understanding the various wars and political developments that helped shaped the region from a scholarly perspective, we will also look to personal accounts to identify different points-of-view.
