Description
An introduction to the study of women, gender (including femininity and masculinity), and sexuality as they have developed over time, paying particular attention to the importance of political engagement and social movements and to markers/questions of difference, such as race, ethnicity, class, religion, and physical ability. The course will highlight the interdisciplinary nature of the study of women, gender, and sexuality, exposing students to a range of foundational texts including film, performance, literature, and other relevant media. NOTE: This course may count for either TALA or for Social Science, but not for both.
