Description
This course will examine the interface of psychology and the law. Social science impacts of the legal process and psychologists are increasingly being asked to participate by providing knowledge to this system. This courses examines the breadth of the this participation and the application of psychological science to the American justice system. Sample topic areas include use of psychologists as expert witnesses, legal competence, jury consulting/selection, the insanity defense, and predictions of dangerousness.
