Description
This course focuses on the roles of professional nurses in the specialty of critical care nursing in the delivery of quality and safe culturally competent nursing care of the individual patient and communities with critical illness. It explores advances in nursing in a rapidly changing health care system, where critically ill patients are in a variety of settings. Emphasis is on nursing research and evidence based practice, as well as technological developments. Students use technology and evidence-based research in the implementation of an educational project incorporating best clinical practices geared towards the patient or nursing personnel population.
