An exploration of the concept of vulnerability and its effect on health care needs. The physical, psychological, sociological, political, and economic factors that predispose individuals, families, and communities to vulnerability are investigated. The development of quality, safe, evidence-based interventions that break the cycle of vulnerability are determined. Students use a variety of technological modalities in the exploration of vulnerable groups and program development to meet the needs of the vulnerable.
