Space Science I

Catalog Description

Observations and telescopes. The structure and origin of the solar system, the sun-Earth connection, and space physics; space weather, comparative planetology. Laboratory emphasis will be on quantitative measures of celestial positions (i.e., astrometry, as well as solar system photometry). Field trips and/or day and evening astronomical observation sessions will be required. (science). (LP)(SW)
