Program Description
The Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics prepares students for graduate school, and secondary school teaching. Many of our majors become involved in faculty-mentored undergraduate research projects.
Program Goals
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
Master the ideas and techniques of Calculus and Linear Algebra
Demonstrate knolwedge about the foundations of Abstract Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability.
Be aware of the many branches of pure and applied mathematics and of the interconnections among them.
Gain a good understanding of a few major realms of pure and applied mathematics.
