Mathematics BS - Bachelor of Science

Program Description
The Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics prepares students for graduate school, and secondary school teaching. Many of our majors become involved in faculty-mentored undergraduate research projects.

Program Goals
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

• Master the ideas and techniques of Calculus and Linear Algebra

• Demonstrate knolwedge about the foundations of Abstract Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability.

• Be aware of the many branches of pure and applied mathematics and of the interconnections among them.

• Gain a good understanding of a few major realms of pure and applied mathematics.
