Construction of triads and seventh chords, root function and diatonic chord progressions, four-part diatonic harmony, advanced notation. Introduction to harmonic analysis using lead sheet notation and Roman numerals. Cadences, phrase structure, and an introduction to formal analysis. Figured bass notation.
