Catalog Description
Babylonian and Egyptian mathematics. The Greek achievement: Eudoxus, Euclid, Archimedes, and Apollonius; mathematics of the Hindus, Muslims, and Chinese. The medieval period in Europe. Algebra in the 16th and 17th centuries. The creation of the calculus. Selected developments in the 18th and 19th centuries.
