Introduction to Asian Civilization
Catalog Description
An introductory course on the nature of Asian civilization and culture. The first part will deal with an analysis of the historical role of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism; the second, with different paths to modernization emphasizing China, India, and Japan. For History majors and minors, this is designated as a world history course.
