Contemporary Issues in Media, Culture and Communications

Examines select topics in media, cultural production, and communications with an emphasis on issues of timely salience. This course will draw on the interdisciplinary approaches of visual culture and cultural studies, while considering the roles of institutions, groups and individuals—as well as historical, social, economic, and political contexts—shaping screen and sound cultures.
