Issues and themes to be considered may include: construction and deconstruction of colonial hegemony, hybridity, indigeneity, decolonization, globalization, neocolonialism, etc. For English majors and minors, this is designated as a Literature, Literature in translation, genre/ theme, Literature by women, American Minorities, or writers in Asia (including the Middle East), Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean course.
